How do I become an expert?

Sign up (or sign in) and hit /become-expert. Walk through the 6-step onboarding — profile, skills, services, portfolio, pricing, verification.

Payments

How does payment work — what's the 5% fee?

When you accept an expert's proposal, an order is created in AWAITING_PAYMENT state. You'll be redirected to /checkout/<orderId> to fund the full amount via Stripe.

How do disputes work?

Either side of an order can open a dispute. From /dashboard/orders/<id> (or /expert-dashboard/orders/<id>) click Open a dispute, pick a reason, and describe what happened.

Account

Where do I see new messages and notifications?

Messages live at /dashboard/messages or /expert-dashboard/messages depending on your role. Each conversation shows the last message, unread count, and the most recent activity.

How do I delete my account?

Go to /dashboard/settings → scroll to Danger zone. Type DELETE in the confirmation box and click Delete my account permanently.
